Call for IBIS related patent disclosures: - None Call for opens: - None ARs: - Mike add comments to CMPNT, DLY, MSPEC sections. - No new progress. - Lance add comments to EBD section. - No new progress. - Bob add comments to CIRCUIT section. - No new progress. DLL checks: - Mike: In the 1990s an s2ibis3 to be paid for by the Open Forum was voted down. - DLL checking paid by the Open Forum might also be shot down. - Bob showed the s2ibis3 specification from 1999. - Bob: An official reference checker would be useful for initial screening of models. - Being official, it would be kept up to date - The IBIS-AMI test tools on the other hand have not been updated. - They do not support IBIS 6.1 flows for example. - Mike: The SiSoft test tool is very low level, it might not need an update for that. - Bob showed the s2ibis3 requirements document written in 1999. - Bob: All we would need is very basic checking. - This s2ibis3 requirements document might give us a guide. - It mentions SpiTran, which provides a user interface. - Bob showed the SpiTran web page. - Lance: That had Java version problems, many people could not use it. - Bob: Greg Edlund submitted a list of IBIS-AMI checks at one time. - Mike: We discussed that but it was tabled. - Greg had meeting conflicts and could join only a few meetings. - There were unresolved questions about the meaning of some of the checks. - Mike showed IBISCHK_DLL_checking_draft1.doc. - Mike: The Existence Checks section of this would be easy to implement. - The other two sections require calling the functions. - It takes very few lines of code to load a DLL and lookup its functions. - The code is platform dependent however. - Bob: A 32 bit machine can check only 32 bit models. - Lance: Also 32 and 64 bit DLLs need different IBISCHKs to be checked. - Bob: We should write this up as a detailed spec for IBISCHK. AR: Mike draft IBISCHK DLL checking specification Parser Contract review: - Bob showed the current parser contract draft, updated today. - Bob: Atul has quoted $3,800 for the work including BIRD178.3. - This seems low, I'm tempted to round up to $4,000. - Mike: We can leave it as quoted and seek approval for a cost overrun later if needed. - Bob: Before signing we need to have the vote to approve the $3800. - We can vote at the August 21 open forum meeting. - Atul might or might not begin work before SAE signs. - The deadline could be October 2. - We agreed to set the parser work deadline at 2 Oct 2015. Meeting ended: 11:58 ET Next meeting Aug 18, 2015
